Cori nora
Singer, multiinstrumentalist and producer Cori Nora makes music outside of sonic categories. Experimenting with vocals, keys, guitars and language she crafts finely textured songs with an intimate analogue touch. Fall 2023 saw the release of her debut album «Flowers And Fences». The album title is symbolism for tearing down the boundaries that are manufactured to keep us apart and allowing the beauty to grow from within and flourish.
«Flowers And Fences» is a hypnotic microuniverse that thrives on sonic textures, poignant lyrics and the love for songs. Like a warm shimmering ecosystem, bouncy clouds of synths, spring-reverberating guitars and alienated sax sounds flicker around Cori Nora’s voice. Wrapped up in this blanket of handcrafted sound Cori Nora sings of intimacy in the age of digital hyper-connectivity, the wish for shortcuts and analogies between two horses and the traps of touchscreen communication.
Cori Nora grew up in a musical family and plays bass, guitar, piano, banjo and cello. She has played, recorded and released music in different band settings before she decided to focus on her solo project. As a side woman she plays bass and sings backing vocals for Pet Owner and Haubi Universe.
