NOJAKîN

The band around singer and composer Corinne Nora Huber combines complex elements of instrumental jazz with the simple beauty of songwriting and the subtle use of electronics. The cinematic soundscapes NOJAKîN create trigger the imagination and impart a feeling of freedom – like a bird in flight in the open sky. Or a dive into the great depths of the wide ocean.

The multilayered compositions offer space for improvisation and allow the versatile musicians to break out. Together NOJAKîN build up an immense live energy and create a vibrant universe of sound which is truly their own. The audience is invited to join them on their eclectic and unpredictable journey.

NOJAKîN was founded by Corinne Nora Huber in 2013. They toured in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republique, Slovakia, UK and played overseas in New York. Their first album "Silent Smile" was released in 2016, followed by their second album "Perfection in a Bird" in 2018. They received the AKU-Sounds grant for emerging artists in 2015. NOJAKîN was among ten selected bands to participate in the Suisse Diagonales Jazz Festival in 2017.
